THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY…

Still in Cask

“It was great to see how Warminster Maltings take such pride and care in what they do, with such a focus on the flavoursome heritage malts. I was pleased to learn from Robin that he is investigating the possibility of reviving some other heritage barley strains.

I am confident Warminster Maltings will be around for at least another 167 years and will play a large part in establishing England as a unique whisky region.”

Goodh Brewing Co.

“I tried to write something very wordy that explains how walking around Warminster Maltings made me feel but I couldn’t really… It makes me sad because there are so few places like it left.

I’m infinitely grateful to people like Robin Appel and everyone who’s kept it alive for over 150 years so that we can enjoy, as brewers and drinkers, the fruits of their labour.”

Blunt Rock Brewery

“What Robin Appel and the team at Warminster are doing is truly inspiring. High quality, floor malted malts all inside a beautifully maintained historical maltings.

A perfect example of how a deep respect for the history and process can produce a top-quality product & a shining example of British brewing heritage.”

The Oxford Artisan Distillery

“Great day visiting our malting partners @warminster_maltings you can smell the art and science in the old Victorian walls.

Lovely to be able to discuss agriculture, brewing and malting history and the future of distilling with living industry legends. And how @theoxfordartisandistillery fits into the bigger picture”

Circumstance Distillery

“Robin showed us around the malthouse, which is the oldest working maltings in the UK, and guided us through the malting process.

It was amazing to see how much care and pride the guys at Warminster Maltings take in what they do, which translates into the flavours of our spirits.”

Tucks Brewery

“Malt is the backbone of beer, and the UK has a long-standing tradition of floor-malted grain. Thank you Warminster Maltings for keeping with tradition and being a big part of our ales.”

Triple FFF Brewery

“We switched back to Warminster Maltings and have been delighted with the results – as told by our customers! The extraction we have achieved has been brilliant. This has been the case down at 62C for our (malty) Pressed Rat & Warthog but perhaps more importantly the Maris Otter has gone incredibly well at higher temperatures (up to 68C).

This means our best sellers (and most awarded), Moondance and Alton’s Pride have great body, but a crisper, cleaner taste allowing better and more delicate and complex hop-expression. Thank you to Warminster malt which is wonderful foundation to a great brew!”
